An Animal Slaughtered by One Who Utters Words of Disbelief
Question
Is it permissible to eat what is slaughtered by the hand of people who utter words of kufr (disbelief) with their tongues, or not?
Answer
If a word comes from a Muslim’s tongue that entails kufr, but it can be interpreted (ta’wil) so as to save him from kufr, then a fatwa of kufr will not be issued, and the animal slaughtered by such a person does not become impermissible. However, he will be restrained with full force from saying such words.
