Munajat-i Maqbul and al-Hizb al-A‘zam
Question
Zayd is strictly observant of the Shari‘a and, mostly while in a state of wudu’, regularly recites all the transmitted (ma’thur) supplications. Is this sufficient for him, or should he also recite Munajat-i Maqbul (“Accepted Supplications”)?
Answer
For the one who takes care to recite the supplications taught by the Shari‘a at their proper times, that alone is sufficient. As for the one who does not take such care, let him recite the supplications of Munajat-i Maqbul or al-Hizb al-A‘zam.
