The Eid prayer on a ship

Question

Is it correct, while travelling, to perform the Eid prayer on a sea-going ship or not?

Answer

The conditions of the Eid prayer are the same as the conditions of the Friday prayer (jumu'a), except for the sermon (khutba); that is, in a settlement where jumu'a is valid, the Eid prayer is valid, and where jumu'a is not valid, Eid is not valid either. For jumu'a it is a condition that there be a city (misr), a small town or a large village (qarya kabira)
