Intending to make up a lifetime’s missed prayers at the times of ishraq and tahajjud

Question

A certain person says that if, at the time of tahajjud, one makes up the prayers missed over one’s whole life instead of the tahajjud prayer, then together with these make-up prayers one will also receive the reward of the tahajjud prayer; likewise, if one makes up the missed prayers instead of the ishraq prayer, then together with the make-up prayers one will also receive the reward of the ishraq prayer; and likewise on the Night of Bara’a (the night of mid-Sha‘ban) and the Night of Power (Laylat al-Qadr).

Answer

Performing the missed fard prayers deserves more diligence than tahajjud, ishraq and the like. It is hoped that by doing so one will also receive the reward of tahajjud and ishraq. On the Night of Bara’a the reward of worship will be doubled.
