Prayers missed over a lifetime should be made up in place of nafl prayers too
Question
If a person begins praying at a considerable age and performs ishraq, tahajjud and the like, will he receive reward for it or not, given that he is also making up the prayers missed over a lifetime?
Answer
Such a person should make up the prayers missed over a lifetime in place of the nafl prayers as well. For if death comes while fard prayers remain owed by him, he will be taken to account; whereas if he does not perform the nafl prayers, he will not be taken to account for them.
