Reciting the Mu‘awwidhatayn in witr does not complete the Qur’an in tarawih
Question
If, during the khatm of the Qur’an, [the imam], mistakenly taking the twenty rak‘as of tarawih to be eighteen, left out the Mu‘awwidhatayn (the last two suras), what is the ruling on reciting them in the first two rak‘as of the witr prayer, and, for the third rak‘a, additionally reciting from the Word of Allah some of the opening verses of the para (juz’) “Alif Lam Mim”?
Answer
In this way the Noble Qur’an will indeed be completed in full, but it will not be completed in full in the tarawih.
