Supplication after each tarwiha and after the Eid prayer

Question

Is making supplication (du‘a’) after every four rak‘as of tarawih, and making supplication after the prayer of the two Eids, wajib or sunna?

Answer

After every four rak‘as of tarawih a rest (istiraha) is mustahabb, and at that time one is free to choose: if he wishes he recites the Qur’an, if he wishes he says tasbih and tahlil and recites salawat, if he wishes he makes du‘a’, and if he wishes he prays nafl prayers.
