A masbuq who joined after the imam’s sajda al-sahw

Question

If a masbuq joined in the qa‘da after the sajda al-sahw, should he perform sajda al-sahw at the end of his own prayer or not? After all, the imam has already performed the qa‘da, sitting for the length of the tashahhud. The qa‘da that comes after the sajda al-sahw — is it fard or wajib?

Answer

For a masbuq who joined in the qa‘da after the imam’s sajda al-sahw, sajda al-sahw does not independently become wajib on him on this account.
