If the masbuq deliberately gives the salam together with the imam

Question

The imam gave the salam in order to perform sajda al-sahw (the prostration of forgetfulness); the masbuq also deliberately gave the salam together with the imam, thinking that he too ought to give the salam of sajda al-sahw together with the imam. In such a case, what is the ruling on this masbuq’s prayer?

Answer

His prayer has become fasid (invalid) (“Shami”, vol. 1, p. 499).
