Praying on a cloth spread over impurity

Question

What is [the status of] dried human excrement? May one pray after spreading a cloth over dried excrement or not, given that one of the conditions of prayer is a pure place, which is fard ‘ayn?

Answer

Excrement remains impure even after it dries, as long as its essence has not changed. Prayer on a pure cloth or mat spread over it is valid: in that case the place of prayer is the cloth or mat, which is pure, and not the excrement, so the condition of prayer is not missing.
