An Impure Cloth Touching the Body During Prayer

Question

A person is praying in his home, and near him lies a cloth which is impure. When he goes into ruku‘ or sajda, that cloth touches some part of his body. In such a case, is his prayer valid or not?

Answer

If it does not remain in contact with his body for the length of one pillar (rukn), but touches it and immediately separates, then the prayer is valid.
