What should be done if the breath gives out during the adhan?
Question
A mu’adhdhin’s breath is so short that when he calls the adhan, because his breath runs out, the last letter of a word is lost; and because of broken teeth, the listeners hear one letter in place of another. Will such a person’s adhan be valid? And what is [the ruling on] such a person calling the adhan?
Answer
If he is employed to call the adhan, he should pronounce the letters correctly and not drop any letter; otherwise another person who is qualified should call the adhan.
