The Eid prayer for a woman, and also raising the hands, etc.
Question
I have heard that a woman should perform the Eid prayer neither at home nor at the Eidgah (open ground for the Eid prayer) — that is, it is not wajib upon a woman. Please inform me about this soon. What is [the ruling] if a woman performs the Jumu‘a prayer in the congregational mosque? The group that calls itself “Ahl-e Hadith” picks out verses from the Qur’an and shows them, and says that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (?)
Answer
The prayer of the two Eids is not upon a woman: neither is going to the Eidgah her duty, nor is performing the Eid prayer at home binding upon her. Jumu‘a too is not upon a woman; she should perform the Zuhr prayer in her home and not go to the congregational mosque for Jumu‘a. If one also utters with the tongue the intention of the heart, it is not forbidden.
