Eid prayer for women

Question

Previously, a curtain was arranged at the Eid prayer ground. Some women used to attend covered with a chadar, while others came wearing a sari without covering. Now a few women perform the prayer in the mosque, but most women still go to the Eidgah and do not comply. At present, no curtain arrangement exists at the Eidgah. Some women sit in a madrasa nearby, while others sit outside. Near the madrasa there is a shop belonging to a non-Muslim, and when the women stand for prayer, they may be seen by those people.

Answer

The Eid prayer is not obligatory upon women. Therefore they should be prevented from going. An announcement should be made at the Eidgah that women should not attend. Each man should restrain the women of his household. If they still do not comply, scholars of the people of truth should deliver admonitions.
