An Interval between the Second Adhan and the Khutba

Question

On Friday, is there any allowance for an interval between the khutba and the second adhan or not? If there is, how long?

Answer

When the khatib sits on the minbar, that is when the second adhan is to be called; once the adhan has ended, the khatib is instructed to begin the khutba and not to delay without reason.
