The Second Adhan of Jumu‘a inside the Mosque

Question

Is it makruh tahrimi to call inside the mosque the second adhan of Friday, which takes place in front of the khatib? In our town of Lakhimpur some mubtadi‘s (innovators) obtained from the Razakhani ulama a sufficient and satisfying answer to this very question, with references to books of hadith from the writings of Mawlana Ahmad Riza Khan, and publicised it in the town, which caused turmoil. There arose a pressing need for me to obtain a fatwa from the ulama of Deoband.

Answer

The great purpose of the adhan of the five prayers is to inform those who are absent; therefore what is mustahabb in it is to call the adhan from an elevated place in a loud voice, so that the voice reaches far and many people, hearing it, can come to the prayer.
