A difficulty concerning the hadith “Sleep as the bride sleeps”

Question

The gist of [the words] “Sleep as the bride sleeps” (نم كنومة العروس) is that the Exalted Lord will say: “Sleep in the grave like a bride on the first night, without any kind of worry.” The difficulty now is that in present-day circumstances a bride, almost on the very first night, experiences great unease and apprehension, since it is the meeting of a man and a woman who are strangers to each other, where nervousness is natural.

Answer

If there was love beforehand and the marriage took place after full longing, does the question of nervousness arise even then? This becomes clear from [the words of the hadith]: [ar]لَا يُوقِظُ إِلَّا أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ[/ar] “…none awakens [him] except the one dearest to him.” Moreover, for a comparison it is not necessary that it correspond in every detail.
