The ruling on the funeral prayer over a stillborn child

Question

(1) If a child is born dead, should the funeral prayer be performed or not? (2) If a child is born alive and after some time… (?) — should the funeral prayer be performed or not?

Answer

(1) The funeral prayer will not be performed over a child who is born dead. (2) If he dies some time after being born, the funeral prayer will be performed.
