The order between the obligatory prayer and the janaza

Question

[ar]إذا حضرت الجنازة في المسجد وقت صلاة وبقي للإمامة خمس دقيقة أو عشرة دقيقة، فبأي صلاة يقوم من الصلاتين؟[/ar] “If a bier arrives at the mosque at the time of a prayer and five or ten minutes remain until the imamate (the start of the congregational prayer), which of the two prayers should one stand for?”

Answer

[ar]تقدم المكتوبة على صلاة الجنازة في هذه الصورة.[/ar] “In this case the obligatory (fard) prayer is given precedence over the funeral prayer.”
