One prayer or two over the biers of twins

Question

If two children born together die, will the funeral prayer (salat al-janaza) be performed over them or not? And will the prayer be performed once or twice?

Answer

Since they were born alive and then died, the funeral prayer will certainly be performed over them. If the biers of both are together, a single prayer suffices for both; praying over each separately is better.
