How to perform the funeral prayer over several deceased

Question

(1) A boy and a girl were born together and died. Will the funeral prayer be performed separately, or is it sufficient to perform it once? And in that case, whose supplication (du‘a) is to be recited — the boy’s or the girl’s? (2) If the bodies of men and women are present at the same time, will the funeral prayer be performed separately? And if one suffices, which supplication should be recited — that for a minor or that for an adult?

Answer

(1) If separately, that is better; together is also valid. Both supplications should be recited. (2) When both are adults, the supplication for an adult should be recited.
