Repeating the funeral prayer for latecomers

Question

Some time after the prayer over the deceased had been performed, three or four more people arrived. What do the scholars of religion rule about performing the prayer over the deceased again for their sake?

Answer

If the guardian (wali) performed the funeral prayer first, or it was performed with his permission, then it is not proper for others to perform it again.
