The order between the sunna of the prayer time and the janaza

Question

Should the funeral prayer, after the congregational [prayer], be performed before the sunnas or after the sunna?

Answer

There are both views, so both ways are permissible: [ar]وتقدم صلاة الجنازة على الخطبة وعلى سنة المغرب وغيرها كسُنَّة الظهر والجمعة والعشاء، لكن في البحر قبيل الأذان عن الحلبي: الفتوى على تأخير الجنازة عن السنة، وأقره المصنف، كأنه إلحاق لها بالصلاة، لكن في آخر أحكام دين الأشباه: ينبغي تقديم الجنازة والكسوف حتى على الفرض ما لم يضق وقته، فتأمل. وروى الحسن أنه يخير، فافهم.
