Performing Hajj after depriving one’s daughter of her right

Question

Thirty-seven bighas (bigha: a local unit of land area) of land came to my share from my in-laws, and nineteen bighas I hold in hereditary tenancy. On the hereditary land I am paying twenty-fold, and I have been paying it regularly for twenty-five years. The total land is fifty-six bighas. I have had separate residential houses built for all. There was one daughter; I married her off and she has become the mistress of her own household; I have not given her any share of the land.

Answer

Your Hajj will be valid, but you did not give the daughter any land; this is a violation of her right, whereas the daughter should have been given as much as you gave the sons. When during one’s lifetime land and the like are given to the children as a gift, all of them have an equal right.
