Hajj Being Fard upon the Husband Does Not Make It Fard upon the Wife

Question

Is it fard for women to perform Hajj, such that they must go with their husbands?

Answer

Hajj becoming fard upon the husband does not make Hajj fard upon the wife. When she herself is wealthy, then Hajj will be fard upon her. If the husband, of his own accord, enables her to perform Hajj, that is a kindness on his part.
