Which perfume is permissible?

I am fond of perfume oil and other fragrances, and I have just bought some perfume. I have heard that using this kind of fragrance is impermissible. Before using it I want to know the truth of the matter, because I also pray in these same clothes; if it is impermissible, the prayer will not be valid, nor will there be the mercy and favour of Allah.

Answer

This is something to be investigated with the people who make perfume: whether anything impermissible or impure is put into such-and-such a perfume. As long as this has not been established, no perfume will be called impure or impermissible.
