The kurta reaches mid-shin

Question

Question: Is there any limit for the imam in wearing a kurta (a long loose shirt) or not? If there is, then down to where?

Answer

A kurta down to mid-shin is sunna; somewhat lower than that is also permissible. The ruling for the imam and the muqtadi (those praying behind the imam) is one and the same.
