Which clothing did the Prophet ﷺ like?

Question: Which clothing did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ like — white and green, or red and yellow? A certain gentleman, citing Tajrid al-Bukhari, stated that yellow and red were the colours most beloved and pleasing to him ﷺ. Also, please give your opinion on the soundness of Tajrid al-Bukhari.

Answer

He liked white clothing — so it is in al-Tirmidhi’s Shama’il. He also used (cloth) striped red and black, but he forbade pure red and pure yellow. In the Tajrid the hadiths of Sahih al-Bukhari have been taken in abridged form. There is no fabricated (mawdu‘)
