There is no waiting for old age to adopt sunna clothing

Question: Is there a particular age for adopting sunna clothing or something from the sunna, or should one introduce a sunna into practice in old age? If people mock it, should one still put it into practice?

Answer

Waiting for old age in order to follow the sunna is wrong. [ar]قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى يُحْبِبْكُمُ ٱللَّهُ[/ar] “Say: ‘If you love Allah, then follow me — Allah will love you…’” (the verse; Surah Al ‘Imran, 3:31). [ar]عليكم بسنتي وسنة الخلفاء الراشدين[/ar] “Hold fast to my sunna and the sunna of the rightly guided caliphs…” (the hadith).
