Shari‘a-compliant clothing

Question

Question: Is Shari‘a-compliant clothing only that which you, the respected ‘ulama’, wear? Where is this established from?

Answer

Clothing that is established by the sunna is certainly Shari‘a-compliant. And clothing that is not mentioned in the sunna, but which the righteous (sulaha’) have adopted and which is not a distinctive mark (shi‘ar) of the kuffar and the fussaq, is also Shari‘a-compliant clothing.
