Eating pork while intoxicated with wine

Question

Question: Zayd drank wine and, in a state of unconsciousness, also ate with non-Muslims. Zayd says that when the food was placed before him and he began to eat, there was a bone in it which he threw away; after that, in the state of intoxication, he lost his senses. The people accuse him, and Zayd himself also suspects, that the bone was from pork. What needs to be ascertained is: how can Zayd become clean of this sin?

Answer

The pig is impure (najis) and haram. Wine too is impure and haram. With regard to the pig the need arose to ask about the issue, but why is the issue of wine not asked about, because of which the mind went and unconsciousness came?
