Accepting the invitation of a fasiq

Question

Question: I saw in a book that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade accepting the invitation of a fasiq. Then I saw that eating the food of a show-off and a braggart is not permissible (Abu Dawud). Then I saw that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: whoever is invited and does not accept the invitation has disobeyed Allah and the Messenger.

Answer

Accepting the invitation of someone who is openly a fasiq has been forbidden. Accepting the invitation of someone who feeds from haram wealth is by no means permissible. Without reason one has no right to conclude about anyone that his wealth is haram, and without reason there is no need to investigate whether his wealth is halal or haram.
