The ruling on an invitation from an election candidate

Question

Question: A certain man, one of the Hindus, is standing for election in this area, and no Muslim is standing from this area. He offered sweetened milk to the Tablighi Jamaat, and they accepted it so as not to hurt his feelings. Was this right or not?

Answer

There is no harm in accepting an invitation in this way.
