The invitation of one who does not pray and of one who consumes interest
Question
Question: We know that Zayd does not pray and that Umar consumes interest (riba). Is it permissible for us, despite knowing this, to eat at the homes of Zayd and Umar?
Answer
If it is known that Umar feeds people food from haram interest, then eating his food is haram. If it is known that this food is from some permissible income, then eating his food is right. If it is from mixed income, then what predominates is taken into account. This is the ruling on the food itself.
