‘Umar’s Marriage to ‘Ali’s Daughter

Question

A Shi‘i said that Hazrat Sayyiduna ‘Umar ﵁ had contracted marriage with a five-year-old girl. How far is this correct?

Answer

Who was that girl, and was only the nikah contracted, or was the marriage also consummated at that very time? Let proof be produced. If consummation did not take place at that time but after she reached maturity, then what crime is that?
