Walking in Shoes on the Floor Adjoining the Mosque

Question

There is a congregational (jamiʿ) mosque whose plan is given below: (In the print, a diagram with the labels: “inner first”, “lavatory”, “second part”, “place for removing shoes”, “door”, “urinal”, “third part”, “place of ablution”.) This mosque is more than a hundred and fifty years old; at that time the village did not have as many inhabitants as it has now. This place marked with a red dot was once paved but had broken up; the rows of the two Eid prayers used to extend onto it.

Answer

From the wording of the question it appears that the part with the red dots is not part of the mosque; therefore the rulings of the mosque will not apply to it — such that, just as going into the mosque in shoes is forbidden, it would likewise be forbidden on this part — nor will this be disrespect to the mosque.
