Entering the Mosque and Praying in Shoes

Question

Is there a command to pray wearing shoes or not? If not, which imam are those people following who pray wearing shoes?

Answer

Praying in shoes is also transmitted from the noble Prophet ﷺ and the noble Companions ﵃. Now, however, our mosques are not in the condition they were in at that time; now the jurists have written that entering the mosque wearing shoes is makruh. So it is in al-ʿAlamgiri.
