Where the Supplication for Entering the Mosque Is to Be Recited
Question
There is a royal mosque; because its outer enclosure is very extensive, the boundaries of the mosque proper are separate. In such a case, on entering through which door should the supplication for entering the mosque be recited: on entering through the outer door, i.e. the door of the enclosure, or on entering through the inner door, where the prayer is performed?
Answer
The place which has been designated and endowed as waqf for prayer, such that it is not permissible to go there in a state of impurity — whether it is roofed or unroofed — is where the supplication is to be recited when setting foot there.
