Washing clothes next to the mosque floor
Question
Apart from the inner part of the mosque where prayer is performed and the outer floor, there are other places, for example a three-arched gallery, a chamber and the like. Are these too included in the ruling of the mosque? If someone washes clothes at the place of ablution where a well, a tap and the like are installed, is this permissible or not?
Answer
At a place that is not the mosque, that is, where prayer is not performed, washing clothes in such a way that others are not inconvenienced and that the used water (mustaʿmal) or its splashes do not reach the floor of the mosque is permissible, and in this the mulla and the non-mulla are equal.
