Teaching Funded from Mosque Income
Question
Is it permissible to provide teaching of the Noble Qur’an from the income of the mosque or not?
Answer
If that madrasa is subordinate to this mosque — that is, the founder built the mosque and built the madrasa as subordinate to it, and directed that this madrasa would remain subordinate to the mosque and would be run from the mosque’s income — then this is correct according to the Shariʿa.
