A Donation to the Mosque from a Person with Mixed Income
Question
There is a gentleman whose income is not permissible, but he also has sources of income that are entirely halal. Can donation money be accepted from him for a madrasa — especially when he also says: “I am giving this donation from my pure earnings; I say this with full responsibility, because I know that putting haram income into a good cause is a very great sin”? The question is: can his donation be accepted in such a case?
Answer
It is valid to accept the donation of such a person.
