Donations to a Mosque from Income from Wine

Question

We need to buy a building in a city in Britain, Red Membra, so that our religious needs (a mosque, rooms for teaching children, an office for the mosque committee and a few rooms that will be let out on rent to meet the mosque’s expenses) may be met from this building. In acquiring it, several questions have arisen; kindly favour us with an answer. (a) Zayd deals in wine and also gives a donation for this building. Is this permissible? Donations from Permissible Income (b)

Answer

(a) A donation for the mosque from the income of wine should not be accepted; if he gives from permissible income, for example by taking a loan, then it is valid. (b) This is valid. (c) If he gives from the income of halal things, it is valid; if he gives from mixed income and the halal predominates, it is also valid. (f) The answer to this is evident from answer (c). (e)
