Calling a mosque built by Muslims masjid dirar

Question

Is it permissible or not to call a mosque built by Muslims masjid dirar (a mosque of harm)?

Answer

If another mosque is built out of enmity in order to harm the old mosque, there will be no reward for it; doing so is abhorrent in the Shari‘a. But if the mosque was built by being made waqf in the Shar‘i manner, then it is necessary to keep it populated (with worshippers), and it is not permissible to demolish it by calling it masjid dirar.
