A mosque comes into being even without an explicit waqf, by permission for adhan and congregation

Question

A man did not make the land a waqf, and a mosque has stood on it for seventy or eighty years. Will prayer be valid in this mosque or not? (2) I too pray in this mosque. A minaret is being built for this mosque, but people do not accept donations from me?

Answer

(1) If the owner of the land, having built the mosque, relinquished his possession, gave permission to everyone, and the adhan and prayer began, then by this much it became a mosque; prayer and congregation there are all in order. (2) That is something to be asked of them — why they do not accept your donation.
