Sacrifice becoming wajib through buying an animal

Question

If a person is poor, does the sacrifice become wajib on him merely by buying an animal?

Answer

If he buys an animal during the days of sacrifice with the intention of sacrifice, then the sacrifice will become wajib on him (“Shami”, vol. 5, p. 204).
