Does a Rope Bed Become Impure Forever If Ghusl Was Performed on It?
Question
A certain man says that one of the prophets performed ghusl (full ritual bath) while sitting on a rope bed, so it is a thing of filth, and it is not right to eat while sitting on it. Kindly favour us with a reasoned answer.
Answer
This claim is without proof. If some prophet performed ghusl on a certain wooden platform or floor, does that mean that this platform or floor became impure and can never become pure again, and that because of this every platform and every floor everywhere will become completely impure forever?
