Drops from a Head Cold Are Not Impure
Question
I usually suffer from catarrh. During the illness, in prayer — especially during ruku' and sajda — the water of the catarrh and cold usually drips from my nose, and sometimes from my eyes as well, onto my clothes and in the mosque. Please give a fatwa on this too.
Answer
In such a state a handkerchief or towel should be kept in front, so that the drops of catarrh that fall from the nose do not fall onto the floor of the mosque — even though the falling of drops of catarrh does no harm to the wudu or the prayer.
