The Ruling on Spirit (Surgical Alcohol)

Question

Zayd had an injection. The person giving it first applies spirit to the body; some spirit also gets onto the body. Is washing it necessary or not? Moreover, they say that spirit, once it touches the body, immediately dissolves into the skin or evaporates on contact with the air, and the bad smell also goes away. Can one pray in such a state or not?

Answer

That garment and that part of the body on which the spirit got should be purified (even if it cannot be seen to be there and no bad smell is perceived), and then the prayer should be performed.
