Saying “bi-haqqi Muhammadin Rasul” in Supplication
Question
Zayd recited this supplication: [ar]الٰہی بحق محمد رسول ٭ دعا مجھ گنہگار کی ہووے قبول[/ar] “O God, by the right (bi-haqq) of Muhammad the Messenger, may the supplication of me, a sinner, be accepted.” Bakr objected to this, [saying] that this supplication is both makruh and impermissible, and that reciting it is not allowed. Please therefore set out the Shari‘a ruling on this matter.
Answer
A ruling that something is impermissible or makruh cannot be given without evidence. Bakr presumably has some evidence; ask him about it and write, so that it can be considered.
