How to pray on a train

Question

If on a train or a bus there is neither water available nor room for ruku' and qiyam, may one perform tayammum and pray sitting, or should the prayer be left as qada' (make-up) and performed later?

Answer

If there is no water on the train, and because of the crowd there is also no room for ruku' and sujud, and there is also no expectation that within the time [the train] will reach some station where water will be available and a place for prayer will also be found, then one should perform tayammum and pray by gestures (isharah)
